A monument building in the historical center of Bucharest has reopened its doors to host Carturesti Carousel Bookstore.
Carturesti Carousel Bookstore is iocated in the old center of Bucharest, on 55 Lipscani Street; it has six levels and nearly 1000sqm, and includes its own bistro.
The elegant 19th-century edifice was in possession of the famous family of Chrissoveloni bankers; during the communist era it was confiscated and turned into a store. After 1990, the real estate was recovered and rehabilitated by the current owner, Mr. Jean Chrissoveloni.
