Bucharest Step by Step

Young people from Romanian Association for Culture, Education and Normality, ARCEN (Asociatia Romana pentru Cultura, Educatie si Normalitate ) have launced today the first free guided on foot tour of Bucharest within the programme  “Discover the city step by step !”.

The tour lasted 2 hours and included touristic landmarks on the following route:  George Enescu Square ( in front of the Romanian Atheneum) – Revolution Square (Piata Revolutiei )- Victory Avenue (Calea Victoriei ) – Edgar Quinet StreetAcademy Street (Strada Academiei ) – Eugeniu Carada StreetLipscani Street Stavropoleos Street French Street (Strada Franceza) – St.Anthony Square (Piata Sf.Anton).  The tour was guided by students, volunteers at ARCEN.

If you visit Bucharest between the 25th of July and the 12nd of September you can take part in it on Saturdays form 11:00 a.m. and on Sundays from 5:00 p.m.

ARCEN is preparing a special guided tour and other events for Bucharest Days ( this year they will be celebrated between 20 & 24 of September).
