Even if I couldn‘t post it on the 1st of May, here it is today: The Statue of the French Soldiers in Cismigiu Gardens.
The monument (made of marble / author – Romanian sculptor Ion Jalea) in honor of the French soldiers who died on the Romanian battlefield, during World War I (1916-1919), was inaugurated on the 19th of October 1922 .
